Come discover some of the river animals that sustain the larger life along Blackwater Creek! Explore Nature By Nurture will be out with the Lynchburg Department of Water Resources grabbing insects and small critters out of the water and even looking at some of them under microscopes! Learn about the different chemical and biological ways we monitor our open air water resources, and how to do similar kinds of explorations in the waters nearer where you live or visit.

This is a relaxed, free-flow event. Pack a lunch to enjoy in the picnic area and stop by to see us before or after!
